Application/Function
Effective filtration controller for aqueous drilling fluids
Has a minimal effect on viscosity and can be used in salt-saturated systems, performing best when chloride concentrations are less than 60 gal (227 L)
Can have a deflocculating effect in seawater systems
Advantages
Cost-effective filtration controller
Functions over wide pH range
Effective in low concentrations
Fermentation resistant
