Sieve Analysis, (% through 100 mesh) | 95 min. |
YP, lb/100ft2 | 17 minimum |
Application/Function
Organophilic Clay VG-PLUS is used in the 2-10lb/bbl (5.7-28.5 kg/m3) range depending on the desired viscosity properties, mixing system, and temperature. Higher concentrations are used when preparing spotting fluids, packer fluids or other special systems. Maximum viscosity is normally attained after a complete circulation of the fluid thru the bit, so care must be taken not to over-treat upon initial mixing.
Advantages
Used as a gelling and viscosifier
Oil Based Material
Increase carrying capacity and suspension properties
Improve cutting removal
Recommended Treatment
Organophilic Clay VG-PLUS is used in the 2-10lb/bbl (5.7-28.5 kg/m3) range depending on the desired viscosity properties, mixing system, and temperature.
Package and Storage
