OBM Rheology Modifier OV-MOD as a kind of organic linear polymer applied in the Non-aqueous base drilling fluids to increase the viscosity or yield point needed for oil base drilling fluids. OV-MOD has good capacity of increase the OBM rheology without adding more organic gel, which will increase the solids content in the drilling mud and plug the formation or cause the OBM rheology being out of control.

Technical Features
- The main component of OV-MOD is linear oil soluble polymer, which is environmental acceptable for SBM.
- Can be used to increase the YP or Gels without add organic gel, which will help control the viscosity within acceptable range.
Guideline for Application
The recommended concentration of OV-MOD is 0.5%-2.0% (5 to 20 kg/m3)of total circulating mud volume. The concentration should be adjusted according to the mud weight and total solids content. Pilot tests should be done prior to the OBM conditioning. Slowly add the DD-MOD into the active system with effectively running shear pump or mixing pump.
Toxicity and Handling
Bioassay information is not available upon request. Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described on the Transportation and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
OV-MOD is a mixture of surfactants and oil soluble linear polymer, which may cause irritation to eyes, skin or respiratory tract. OV-MOD should be added slowly to the mud system either by mixing through the hopper or chemical barrel. Do not contact OV-MOD without proper safety protection.

Package and transportation
Iron or plastic drum about 50L or 200L are used for package, or it can berequired by customer with preventing leakage inner cup. And it should be taken care to avoid broking the drums by hard things in transportation and should avoid the package head standing. And it should keep in dry and ventilated storage and the period of validity is 24 months.
