Application
New Thin is an effective water-based deflocculant. It also prevents high-temperature flocculation. OV-THIN L will also function to prevent gel formation and helps reduce fluid loss in most mud systems at temperatures up to 250°C.
Recommended Treatment
Add 1 - 4 lb/bbl (2.85 - 11.41 kg/m3) of New Thin to the system. It is not recommended for use in high-lignite systems. It performs better when starches, cellulosic or high-temperature synthetic polymers are used for filtration control.
Advantages
Environmentally compatible
Compatible with all water‐base fluids
Excellent deflocculant
Excellent performance in the presence of contaminants
Assists in reducing fluid loss
PACKAGING
New Thin is available in 5 US gallon (18.9-l) cans, palletized as 36 cans per pallet.
